Every Tuesday at 10:00 until 6 October, the tourist board leads a two-hour tour through the Old Town. German is available, but the preferred language must be stated when booking.

01

When and where the tour starts

The free ‘Feel the breeze of Rovinj’ tour starts at 10:00 every Tuesday up to and including 6 October 2026. The meeting point is outside the Rovinj-Rovigno Tourist Board at Trg na mostu 2.

The tour lasts about two hours. It is offered in Croatian, Italian, English and German. The preferred language must be specified when booking; free of charge does not mean that every language is available at all times without advance registration.

02

What lies along the route

The published route leads through Old Town lanes and to several craft and viewpoint stops. It includes Garibaldi, Zdenac and Bregovita streets, the Church of St Euphemia, Grisia, Veli trg, the town gate, harbour, Marshal Tito Square, the clock tower and the Batana Eco-Museum.

The selection combines architectural history with everyday Rovinj. Depending on the group's pace, opening hours and local activity, a guide may place the emphasis differently; the list is a programme framework, not a promise of unlimited access to every interior.

03

More than a conventional Old Town walk

The format incorporates local culture: according to the tourist board, shoemaking, the batana tradition, the Franciscan complex, bitinade singing and a small fish tasting are part of the experience. Those elements are precisely what make the tour longer than a simple orientation through the lanes.

Anyone with allergies or who does not eat fish should mention it when registering. A tasting is an addition, not an obligation. A church visit also calls for suitable clothing and respect for services.

How to reserve the German version

The official page directs visitors to register with the tourist board and asks them to state the language. For a dependable German-language group, registration no later than one hour before the start is advisable; earlier is more sensible for several people.

Keep the confirmation and arrive at the meeting point a few minutes before 10:00. Anyone arriving at the square after the tour has started cannot assume the group will wait there or remain visible.

05

Practical points for Tuesday morning

The Old Town is steep, paved with stone and slippery in places. Sturdy shoes and water are sensible; pushchairs or mobility restrictions should be discussed in advance. Sun, rain and wind can alter the route in September and October.

The appointment makes a good counterpart to a museum or beach later in the day. A final look at the official page before travelling remains important because a series running until October does not protect every individual tour from short-notice changes.
