On the morning of 5 September, the historic vehicles will be displayed at the Forum and on Kalelarga. The anniversary rally of about 100 kilometres starts at noon.
The most reliable window for visitors
Anyone wanting to view the vehicles at leisure should plan for Saturday morning in Zadar's Old Town. The published local programme lists a gathering and display at the Forum and on Kalelarga from 08:00 to 12:00. The rally is due to start from Kalelarga at exactly noon.
Zadar Tourist Board and the Croatian classic-car federation confirm the date of 5 September, the 25th edition and the drive of about 100 kilometres. Oldtimer klub Zadar is the organiser.
Forum, Kalelarga, then Arbanasi
The public morning display is the easiest part of the programme for spectators. Shortly before the start, however, vehicles and participants will need room to line up and pull away. Narrow passages should therefore be kept clear.
The local programme report lists an arrival in Arbanasi at 12:30, with a presentation and driving-skill tests at Krune Krstića Primary School. That does not automatically establish a freely accessible public programme on the school grounds.
The later section is for participants
At 15:00, the drive is expected to continue on a set route towards Pakoštane. According to the published programme, the finish is planned at Vinarija Karaba.
These details help explain the day but are not an invitation to every stop. For spontaneous spectators, the Old Town, the start and a safe position beside a public road remain the more reliable options.
Why this is more than a car display
Historic vehicles show engineering history in motion: body shapes, materials, engines and operating concepts from different decades become directly comparable. The organiser connects this technical side with Zadar's urban and cultural history.
That still does not justify touching without permission. Paint, chrome, interiors and mechanical parts are sensitive; many vehicles are genuinely driven and need considerably more room to manoeuvre than modern cars.
What should be checked again that morning
The official pages confirm the date and basic format but do not publish a complete traffic or closure plan. Neither a particular participant count nor every detailed time should therefore be treated as an unchangeable guarantee.
On Saturday morning, check the tourist board, organiser notices and weather. Anyone only interested in the display should arrive early, preferably enter the Old Town without a car, and keep access routes and the starting lane clear.
