Šibenik-Knin County's public nature-conservation institution is asking for reports of an injured loggerhead turtle. According to the published appeal, the animal was seen in the wider Šibenik maritime area.
No reliable current position, precise description of the injury or cause has been published. The appeal therefore does not identify a specific search bay or establish how the injury happened.
A useful report needs four details
If you see the turtle, note as precisely as possible its position—ideally GPS coordinates—the time, direction of travel and visible condition. A photograph or short video from a safe distance can help identification, but should not delay the report.

Please do not try to catch it
Do not chase, touch, feed or bring the animal aboard. An injured sea turtle may exhaust itself further by trying to escape, and assessment belongs in the hands of trained responders and specialists.
Boats nearby should slow down immediately, keep their distance and avoid any risk of propeller contact. Swimmers and paddlers should give the turtle room and not position themselves between it and open water.
Why its precise course matters
Sea turtles dive and can disappear from view quickly after a sighting. A location alone then says little; combined with time and direction of travel, it becomes a useful search lead.
Several precise reports can create a track. Vague social-media reposts or a private search trip without coordination, by contrast, add traffic without reliably guiding specialists to the animal.
Species protection without an impulsive rescue
The loggerhead turtle is protected in Croatia. An animal surfacing is not by itself proof of distress, although in this case the appeal is explicitly based on a reported injury.
The sequence is therefore simple: observe, keep your distance, record the position and report it. The responsible authorities then decide whether and how the animal can be recovered.
