Hajduk host Dinamo at 15:00. Traffic restrictions around the stadium begin in the morning, and the approach via Dugopolje may also be congested. What visitors and travellers without a match ticket should plan for.
For drivers, match day starts before kick-off
If you are driving to Split on Saturday, do not calculate only the time needed to reach the city limits. Police classify the derby as a high-risk match and are putting special traffic measures in place. This describes the event's security arrangements, not a blanket dangerous situation across Split.
The final part of the journey therefore matters for a hotel check-in, an arranged meeting or an onward connection. Check whether the address lies within the affected area and, if necessary, agree on an accessible meeting point outside it. A clear motorway alone does not guarantee that you will reach your destination on time.
Where access will be restricted
From 10:00, access points on Ulica VIII. mediteranskih igara will be closed: at the Poljud swimming-pool car park, at Mandrach and at the Sedam Kaštela junction. From 11:00, closures follow on Zrinsko-frankopanska between Hrvatske mornarice and Lora, and on Put Supavla from Put Brodarice. Depending on the section, exceptions apply to authorised users; a stadium ticket is not a vehicle access permit.
Between 11:00 and 15:00, police expect congestion at Dugopolje and on the D1 Klis–Solin; a complete D1 closure is also possible. They recommend Prgomet, Vučevica or Bisko for home supporters coming from outside the city. Away supporters should arrive at the A1 Kozjak jug rest area by 12:00 at the latest. These are different travel instructions, not a single route for everyone.
Plan parking and the walk separately
According to police, no visitor parking is available in the immediate or wider vicinity of the stadium. A personalised match ticket and photo ID are required for admission.
Decide before setting off where you can park legally and how you will continue from there. Allow separately for walking, checks and finding the correct entrance. Anyone with limited walking capacity or substantial luggage should establish an accessible drop-off point in advance, rather than looking for one only when they reach a barrier.
An agreed meeting point is useful for the return journey too. Do not assume that a taxi can stop directly outside the stadium after the match. Actual traffic permissions and instructions on site take precedence over a saved navigation route.
