Stubičke Toplice has a new thermal hotel with 70 beds, wellness facilities and physiotherapy. Most of the investment received public funding — but reliable prices and detailed booking conditions have not yet been published.
It opened on 27 August
The Wrello thermal hotel in Stubičke Toplice officially opened on 27 August. According to local reports, the first guests and bookings were due to begin the following day.
The property is therefore no longer just a construction or funding project. Whether rooms are actually available for a particular travel date still needs to be checked directly with the operator.
70 beds in a small four-star hotel
The hotel has 37 rooms and two suites with a total of 70 beds. Eight rooms are intended for people with reduced mobility.
The scale is more modest than a large holiday resort. The concept combines accommodation, recreation and medically oriented services in one place.
Pool, wellness and physiotherapy belong together
The complex of about 6,500 square metres includes an indoor pool, wellness areas and physiotherapy. The thermal facility is intended to operate year-round.
Wellness and medical rehabilitation are not the same thing, however. Which treatment is prescribed by a doctor, paid privately or covered by insurance depends on the specific service and case.
Funding covers almost the entire eligible project
The total investment is stated as €17,426,263.27. Of that, €16,564,159 was considered eligible, and €16,452,978.68 was approved under Croatia’s Recovery and Resilience Plan.
The frequently quoted rate of 99.32 per cent refers to eligible costs. It does not mean that 99.32 per cent of every expense actually incurred was automatically covered.
34 jobs are part of the promise
The hotel is associated with 34 jobs. Year-round operation may be more important to the town than a purely seasonal property.
The opening reports do not yet show how many positions had already been filled at launch or how employment will develop over the long term.
What the reports do not yet tell guests
The checked sources did not contain a reliable public price list for rooms, day-wellness access or therapies. Packages, cancellation terms and the exact booking platform also need direct verification.
Opening therefore says nothing about how affordable the hotel is or whether it can be booked at short notice. Travel planning begins only with a confirmed date, service and final price.
A new component for Stubičke Toplice
Wrello adds a modern, more accessible option to the spa town between a short holiday and rehabilitation. The high level of public funding explains the emphasis on accessibility, year-round operation and jobs.
Only operation will show whether the hotel meets expectations: occupancy, service quality, therapy provision and its actual regional impact remain open points after the launch.
