State route 9605 has been approved. MP Danica Baričević now names 1 November as the start date. However, reliable travel planning still requires the final timetable and confirmed booking conditions.

01

The connection is more than just an idea

In May 2026, the Croatian government added fast state passenger service 9605 to its decision on routes. The route specified there is Pučišća–Postira–Omiš–Split and back. The City of Omiš has also publicly confirmed its establishment.

This establishes the service's state framework. It does not yet answer which days each port will be served, what a ticket will cost or when a particular sailing can be booked. Those details belong in the operator's final timetable.

What the new announcement actually says

On 16 October, Dalmacija Danas reported an announcement by MP Danica Baričević: operations were to begin on Sunday, 1 November. She names Krilo Fast Ferries, or Kapetan Luka, as the operator and Krilo Tropic as the intended vessel.

According to the same announcement, the timetable is still being agreed with the parties involved. Suggested departure times or a proposed weekend stop in Omiš therefore do not yet form a binding daily itinerary. We explicitly attribute the November date to the MP's announcement; it is not an independently confirmed first departure.

03

Commuters need a complete outward and return journey

A connection from the north side of Brač to the mainland could be particularly useful if it fits working hours, appointments or the evening journey home. A route name alone is not enough: the outward sailing, return sailing and calls at the required port must work together on the same travel day.

When checked on 17 October, the public route and operator pages consulted did not yet provide a reliable final timetable for this new service. We therefore publish neither fixed departure times nor a fare here. The announced vessel assignment is no substitute for subsequent operator information either.

04

Do not change an existing booking around it yet

Anyone wishing to travel from Pučišća or Postira to Split in November can keep an eye on the new route. But accommodation, a medical appointment or a tight flight connection should only be planned around it once the relevant sailing has explicitly been published and, where applicable, is available to book.

This is a fast passenger service. The announcement is not a new promise that you can take your car. Vehicle journeys still require a suitable car ferry to be planned separately.
