Until 18 September, the festival links a cathedral, palace courtyard, Badija, Račišće, Lumbarda and Vela Luka. Anyone who notes only ‘Korčula Town’ misses the real travel plan.

01

One festival, not one concert hall

The 2026 Korkyra Baroque Festival runs from 1 to 18 September. The official programme lists 14 public events. Performances take place not only in Korčula's Old Town, but also on Badija and in Račišće, Lumbarda and Vela Luka.

That spread is part of the concept: music is paired with historic spaces. For visitors, however, it means planning the date, location and return journey together.

02

The next events in Korčula Town

‘Bach Cantatas Revisited’ is scheduled for 21:00 on 2 September in St Mark's Cathedral. ‘Strings & Time’ follows at 20:00 on 3 September in the Church of Our Lady of the Snows, and ‘Rosso Veneziano’ at 21:00 on 4 September in the courtyard of Arneri Palace.

Further evenings in town are ‘Ensaladas’ on 9 September and ‘Mater Misericordiae’ on 10 September, both at 21:00 in St Mark's. ‘Venus & Adonis’ follows at 21:00 on 13 September in the Cultural Centre, a piano recital at 21:00 on 16 September in the cathedral, and ‘Huehuetenango’ at 21:00 on 18 September in All Saints Church.

03

Badija, Račišće, Lumbarda and Vela Luka

‘Lorely's Adriatic Dream’ is announced for 21:00 on 6 September on Badija and 20:00 on 7 September in Račišće. ‘Mater Misericordiae’ moves to Lumbarda at 20:00 on 11 September.

‘Venus & Adonis’ is performed in Vela Luka at 20:00 on 12 September before the production moves to Korčula Town the following evening. The island is long; Vela Luka and Korčula are not next door to each other. Changing venues therefore involves a real journey, not a short walk.

For Badija, the return journey matters too

Badija is a small island off Korčula. Anyone attending an evening concert there needs a suitable boat connection or a transfer arrangement clearly confirmed by the organiser. A general daytime boat service is not automatically a safe return option after the concert.

The same planning principle applies on land: accommodation, parking and late bus services differ by location. Before buying a ticket or setting out, open the current detail page for the individual concert.

05

A published programme, but no invented availability

The published programme confirms the artists, venues and times. It does not automatically mean tickets remain available for every event or that every venue has the same admission arrangements.

Weather, boat connections or organisational reasons can trigger changes at island events. The latest festival and tourist information remains authoritative—especially for Badija and the long journey to Vela Luka.
