More than 100 exhibitors, two Croatian boat premieres and a central quay as the venue: the Rijeka Boat Show runs until Sunday evening. Here is what visitors need to know about admission, opening times and their visit.
The show runs until Sunday
The 42nd Rijeka Boat Show has been open at Gat Karoline Riječke since Thursday and ends on Sunday, 27 September. The city's current opening report confirms more than 100 exhibitors from Croatia and abroad, with boats, nautical and maritime equipment and new products on display.
That leaves the whole weekend for a spontaneous visit. The show is open until 19:00 on Saturday and from 10:00 to 18:00 on Sunday. It is not in a remote exhibition complex but directly on Rijeka's central harbour quay.
Five euros admission; children up to twelve enter free
Adult admission costs five euros. According to the organiser, children up to twelve enter free. Neither the organiser nor the city states a different price for the final day.
The official pages do not say whether payment at the entrance is accepted in cash, by card or both. Visitors who want to avoid a detour should therefore not rely on only one method of payment.
Two models make their Croatian debut
The organiser announces the Prua Al Vento WA 5.7 and Jeanneau Cap Camarat 9.0 CC Series 2 as Croatian premieres. Euromarine is named as importer for the Jeanneau model. Boats measuring ten metres and more are also expected to be on display.
A show premiere initially means that a model is being presented in Croatia for the first time in this setting. It says nothing yet about delivery times, final price, berth costs or whether a test run is possible without prior arrangement.
From leisure boats to safety equipment
The announced selection ranges from smaller leisure and work boats through larger motorboats to outboard engines, navigation, safety equipment and other accessories. A visit is therefore useful for more than simply viewing the individual premieres.
Boats and equipment can be compared on site, and visitors can speak directly with manufacturers, representatives and dealers. Anyone seriously considering a purchase should obtain written details not only of a show price but also of the warranty, service location, included equipment, engine, registration and running costs.
The site plan is more useful than a long exhibitor list
The official show catalogue contains a site plan, stand numbers and an exhibitor directory. The plan marks the visitor entrance at Gat Karoline Riječke and makes it easier to arrange sought-after suppliers before walking around.
The published show material does not identify dedicated visitor parking. Those coming from Rijeka itself can avoid searching for a space at the harbour quay by walking or using public transport; drivers should plan where to park before entering the city centre.
No fixed hourly programme has been published
The official material gives opening times, premieres, exhibitors and product groups. The reviewed catalogue contains no public timetable of talks, demonstrations or test runs arranged by hour.
The reliable core of a visit is therefore the exhibition itself. For a particular conversation, viewing on board or possible demonstration, contact the relevant exhibitor directly rather than interpreting the word programme as a fixed show schedule.
What is documented—and what the show does not promise
The organiser and the city's current opening report describe the event as its 42nd edition. An earlier city preview apparently refers to a 16th edition by mistake. The current official sources agree on the dates, location, admission and opening times.
Opening speeches link the show with a possible future marina in Porto Baroš and the expansion of nautical infrastructure. That provides neither a completed construction plan nor an opening date. For a weekend visit, only the existing site at Gat Karoline Riječke matters.
