Skradinski rižot, local wines, conversations with chefs and a sweet Sunday: the third festival combines cuisine and a way of life. A detailed timetable has not yet been published.

01

A festival for a dish that cannot be rushed

On 12 and 13 September, Skradin stages its festival of risotto and the local way of life for the third time, centred on the dark, slow-cooked Skradinski rižot as shared work and inherited knowledge.

The official announcement therefore links it with local produce, wine, music and conversation: the point is slow preparation, tasting together and staying awhile.

02

Who stands at the large pot

The organiser names Tome Računica and Restaurant Cantinetta, with other local chefs preparing an old recipe, but has not published quantities, serving arrangements or whether tastings cost extra.

The announcement cannot guarantee a serving time: this long-cooked dish follows the kitchen's progress, not an expectation that every visitor can receive a portion at any moment.

03

Stevo Karapandža talks with Skradin's risotto masters

Guest chef Stevo Karapandža is due to discuss with local masters how experience, ingredients and patience combine in the dish.

The event page promises no single binding original recipe; an earlier interview instead shows knowledge passed through families and kitchens and a festival open to other rice dishes.

04

Savoury Saturday, sweet Sunday

Saturday is devoted to risotto, local produce and wines, with music by Dražen Zečić announced for the evening but no reliable starting time yet.

Sunday's Slatki dan centres on Skradinska torta, placing a second culinary tradition of the small town in the spotlight.

05

Why guests from four countries are part of it

The festival is linked to the European THERRA project, with partners from Italy, Hungary and Lithuania bringing experience of regional produce and food culture as an addition to the local core.

The short announcement does not list individual partners or times, so it confirms neither a separate fair area nor a continuous country programme.

06

A visit needs one more look at the schedule

The two dates and themes are confirmed, but a minute-by-minute schedule, exact venues and clear admission or tasting prices are not; those gaps should not be filled with assumptions.

Visitors from Šibenik, Zadar or the coast should reopen the official page shortly before the weekend and allow time for arrival, the return trip and the kitchen's actual pace.

07

Expect the right thing

The festival is neither a historical certificate of origin nor proof of one correct preparation, but a present-day stage on which Skradin shares its culinary knowledge.

Save the date, then finalise the day only with updated organiser information and leave room for what this dish is about—time.
