Brief stops for blasting are announced between Delnice and Vrata on Tuesday. The earlier continuous overnight closures have ended; other roadworks and an overnight transport window are separate measures.
A brief stop is not another seven-hour closure
HAK announces a stop of no more than 15 minutes in both directions between Delnice and Vrata on Tuesday, 27 October. It is due to take place between 14:00 and 14:30. If weather or technical conditions require postponement, the reserve date is 28 October at the same time.
The continuous A6 overnight closures from 19 to 23 October are now over. In particular, the Delnice–Oštrovica closure overnight on 22–23 October, from 22:00 to 05:00, is no longer listed here as upcoming. The new blasting date is a separate measure, not an extension of that tunnel maintenance.
Other roadworks remain around Delnice
Until 29 October, traffic reports list work at the Golubinjak viaduct in the Delnice–Vrata area, with one lane towards Rijeka. Between the Pod Vugleš and Javorova kosa tunnels, traffic shares one carriageway, with one lane in each direction and a speed limit of 60 km/h.
This does not mean that only one lane is available along the entire A6. Pay attention to the specific signed section. Keeping to the speed limit, maintaining a safe distance and changing lanes calmly matter more than trying to make up for a possible brief wait in advance.
Another overnight window until the end of October
Until 31 October, HAK lists four overnight transport operations between the Rijeka toll plaza and Kikovica, connecting to the D3. During each 00:00–04:00 window, traffic is to be stopped in both directions for no more than 15 minutes. The four hours are the possible operating window, not a four-hour full closure; the notice does not claim a closure every night either.
This does not translate into a fixed amount of extra driving time. Someone arriving outside the actual stop may encounter different conditions from someone arriving just before it. Check the notice again before a night journey rather than treating the entire route as closed as a precaution.
Tunnel maintenance is a separate measure that has ended
The previously reported work on the fans in the Sopač, Sleme and Tuhobić tunnels explains the earlier long overnight closures. The symbolic illustration below is retained to provide context for those events. It documents neither the current blasting nor a newly scheduled maintenance date.
Earlier gantry construction windows are not carried over to other nights either. Any closure requires a confirmed section, direction and specific period. Keeping this article at the same address is intended to help distinguish these measures, rather than creating another outdated report with every update.
Also check the A2 if arriving via Macelj
For Krapina–Trakošćan on the A2, HAK lists the nights of 27–28, 28–29 and 29–30 October, each from 20:00 to 05:00. The closure there affects both directions, with a diversion via DC1. The earlier date of 22–23 October has passed.
If your journey uses several motorways, factor each time window into your route separately. For Matulji and Opatija, the special interchange arrangements on the A8 also apply. Open HAK and HAC before departure, observe the signs and allow sufficient time for the corridor you actually use.
